The memorial "Pit" or "Yama" is dedicated to the victims of the Holocaust. Around 5,000 prisoners of the Minsk Ghetto were shot here by the Nazis on 2 March 1942. The obelisk was erected in 1947 and the bronze sculptural composition "The Last Way" - in 2000. The bronze sculptural composition was made by Belarusian artist, chairman of Jewish communities of Belarus Leonid Levin and sculptor from Israel Elsa Pollak.
